The mattress topper that turns any bed into a $4,000-feeling one — without the $4,000.
Shop nowFIRST PAIN-FREE MORNING IN 8 MONTHS. I'd been waking at 4:30 every morning, hip throbbing, ready to spend the $2,400 on the Tempur-Pedic. The Hanare arrived Tuesday. Night 14 I slept past 6 and just laid there trying to figure out what was different. The Tempur-Pedic is still in the cart. I'm not buying it.
Eleven year old mattress. We'd been having the "do we spend $1,800 we don't have" conversation for SIX MONTHS. Bought the Hanare half hoping. Husband said it on night three: "this is different." We saved the $1,800. Same bed. Different layer.
My gynecologist literally said the words "before we talk about hormones, change what you sleep on." I went home pissed off because I'd already burned $600 on cooling toppers. The Hanare lasted past 1am. Then 2am. Then 3am. I have not asked for hormones. Three months in.
Don't let any menopause talk fool you, I'm 45 and not menopausal. I bought this because hotel beds always feel different and I needed to know why. Now my bed at home feels exactly like the one at the Four Seasons. Worth every dollar.
I've tried every cooling topper on Amazon. Every single one. The Hanare is in a different category entirely. My shoulder used to wake me 3 or 4 times a night. Three weeks in I realized I'd slept the whole night without rolling over once. Took me a minute to process.
We built Hanare for people who refuse to choose between great sleep and a sane price tag. One topper. One night. The difference is the morning.

I'm sansei. My grandmother slept on a shikibuton until she died at 96 — refused every offer to buy her a 'real' bed. I thought it was old-country pride. The first morning on the Hanare I sat up on the edge of the bed and just started crying. She wasn't being stubborn. She was being right. I've slept on the wrong thing my whole adult life.
I had $2,400 in my Wayfair cart for a Tempur-Pedic. My PT told me — quote — try a topper first, you can always upgrade. The Hanare arrived on a Tuesday. Night 14 I slept past 6am and just laid there trying to figure out what was different. The Tempur-Pedic is still in the cart. I'm not buying it.
Eleven-year-old mattress. Sagging in the middle. We'd been having the do-we-spend-$1,800-we-don't-have conversation for six months. I bought the Hanare half hoping. Husband said it the third night: this is different. Same bed. Different layer.
I travel three weeks a month. Hotel beds always feel different and I never knew why. I tried better sheets. Better pillows. None of it touched it. Read about Japanese pillowtops and ordered one. The first morning I woke up and thought I was at a hotel. Took me three seconds to remember I wasn't.
I'm 61. Nurse my whole career — on my feet thirty-six years. The first thing I did every morning for the last decade was take two Aleve before I got out of bed, just so I could walk to the bathroom without limping. My daughter bought me the Hanare for my retirement. I haven't touched the Aleve bottle since November. I still buy a new one out of habit and it sits there unopened.
Send it back. We pay return shipping. Full refund. No restocking fee. No "did you wash it?" interrogation. No questions. Less than 2% of orders are returned, but we built the trial that way because we'd rather refund a few than have anyone stuck with the wrong topper.
The conforming deep-pocket base fits any mattress 8 to 20 inches deep — including pillow-tops and adjustable bases. Setup takes under 30 seconds. No straps, no slipping.
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3–5 business days; expedited options are available at checkout.
Because we're not selling you a mattress. We're selling you the layer the Japanese figured out 400 years ago — the part that actually touches your body. The slab underneath isn't the problem. The layer is. HanareCore™ replaces the layer, not the bed. That's why it's $149 instead of $2,000 — and why it works on whatever mattress you already own.
The viscose-from-bamboo cover is gentler against sensitive skin than synthetic fibers. No latex, no formaldehyde, no synthetic chemical cooling treatments. Machine washable on cold.
